Mint refill pack IQOS in San José: the flat shortlist
Mint in San José: 14 units tested over 8 weeks, refill pack formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Choosing a refill pack for mint
We run mint the same way in San José: same refill pack, same 8 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
Most people searching IQOS in Costa Rica are not after a spec sheet. They want to know what it costs, how long it lasts and which shop will still service it in three months.
The short version: mint in San José works if the refill pack, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a mint refill pack really costs in San José
The honest read on mint: 14 units through the same routine over 8 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
How we tested mint in a refill pack
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Pick the refill pack that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a refill pack arrives sealed but wrong.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every mint bottle shipped into Costa Rica.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Costa Rica, not a suggestion.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
Where mint goes wrong
- Treating the advertised ₡33 entry kit as the real cost when refills run ₡2.21 per 10 ml.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long mint in San José survives.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Costa Rica accept nicotine freight.
The rules that apply here
Costa Rica regulates nicotine imports under its health authority.
Retail sales in Costa Rica sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.

Frequently asked questions
Do you ship tracked orders to Costa Rica?
Yes, tracked to 4–9 business days, with the same-day cut-off at 14:00. Bulk orders get an import note attached before dispatch.
How long does mint in a refill pack last?
In San José we measured 8 to 14 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
