Mint RDA IQOS in San José: the deals shortlist
Mint in San José: 23 units tested over 7 weeks, RDA formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Where buyers go wrong with mint in Costa Rica
A mint RDA from the discounted options in Costa Rica costs about ₡2.04 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
Most people searching IQOS in Costa Rica are not after a spec sheet. They want to know what it costs, how long it lasts and which shop will still service it in three months.
If you only read one line: the RDA you buy decides how long mint tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a mint RDA really costs in San José
If you are looking at mint in Costa Rica, the first question is not strength. It is whether the RDA you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
How we tested mint in a RDA
- Pick the RDA that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Batch code and production date, so a mint bottle turned in 7 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Spare parts availability for RDA in Costa Rica, since tanks and pods go first.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a RDA arrives sealed but wrong.
- Coil type inside the RDA, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
Where mint goes wrong
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Ignoring the batch date on a RDA and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Mixing mint with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
