Salted in San José: 16 units tested over 2 weeks, squonk mod formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Choosing a squonk mod for salted
If you are looking at salted in Costa Rica, the first question is not strength. It is whether the squonk mod you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
Salted in San José reaches the shelf in squonk mod formats, and the value ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
The short version: salted in San José works if the squonk mod, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a salted squonk mod really costs in San José
Most people searching IQOS in Costa Rica are not after a spec sheet. They want to know what it costs, how long it lasts and which shop will still service it in three months.
How we tested salted in a squonk mod
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Pick the squonk mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a squonk mod arrives sealed but wrong.
- Coil type inside the squonk mod, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 4–9 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
Where salted goes wrong
- Mixing salted with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Costa Rica accept nicotine freight.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long salted in San José survives.
The rules that apply here
Costa Rica regulates nicotine imports under its health authority.
Packaging for salted in Costa Rica must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.
