Melon vape pen IQOS in San José: the cheap shortlist
Melon in San José: 17 units tested over 3 weeks, vape pen formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
What the label on Melon is allowed to say
Melon vape pen reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 17 units and 3 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
If you are looking at melon in Costa Rica, the first question is not strength. It is whether the vape pen you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
The short version: melon in San José works if the vape pen, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a melon vape pen really costs in San José
We run melon the same way in San José: same vape pen, same 3 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
How we tested melon in a vape pen
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Pick the vape pen that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Coil type inside the vape pen, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Spare parts availability for vape pen in Costa Rica, since tanks and pods go first.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every melon bottle shipped into Costa Rica.
Where melon goes wrong
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Costa Rica accept nicotine freight.
- Treating the advertised ₡48 entry kit as the real cost when refills run ₡2.55 per 10 ml.
- Mixing melon with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in Costa Rica sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
Costa Rica regulates nicotine imports under its health authority.
