Ordering IQOS to San José: the practical version
Ordering into San José usually means waiting 4–9 business days. Plan the reorder around that, not around the flavour you like best.
We run plum the same way in San José: same nicotine salt bottle, same 4 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
The short version: plum in San José works if the nicotine salt bottle, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a plum nicotine salt bottle really costs in San José
Plum nicotine salt bottle reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 10 units and 4 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
How we tested plum in a nicotine salt bottle
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Costa Rica, not a suggestion.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a nicotine salt bottle arrives sealed but wrong.
Where plum goes wrong
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Costa Rica accept nicotine freight.
- Treating the advertised ₡31 entry kit as the real cost when refills run ₡2.76 per 10 ml.
- Ignoring the batch date on a nicotine salt bottle and discovering the listed price was for old stock.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a nicotine salt bottle cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in San José: about ₡2.76 per 10 ml liquid plus ₡31 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
Why does plum taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the nicotine salt bottle units we ran, a coil past 5 days turned the plum blend itself harsh.
How long does plum in a nicotine salt bottle last?
In San José we measured 4 to 10 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
