Melon starter kit IQOS in San José: the guide shortlist
Melon in San José: 13 units tested over 5 weeks, starter kit formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Delivery, returns and what 4–9 business days really means
Melon sounds like one product. It is not: a starter kit running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
Melon in San José reaches the shelf in starter kit formats, and the starter ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
The short version: melon in San José works if the starter kit, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a melon starter kit really costs in San José
Melon starter kit reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 13 units and 5 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
How we tested melon in a starter kit
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Pick the starter kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Batch code and production date, so a melon bottle turned in 5 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a starter kit arrives sealed but wrong.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every melon bottle shipped into Costa Rica.
Where melon goes wrong
- Ignoring the batch date on a starter kit and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Costa Rica accept nicotine freight.
- Chasing a discount on a starter kit that then needs an adapter nobody in Costa Rica stocks.
The rules that apply here
Costa Rica regulates nicotine imports under its health authority. Shipping of nicotine to Costa Rica runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.

Frequently asked questions
Can I order IQOS online in Costa Rica?
Yes, tracked dispatch before 14:00, and delivery lands in 4–9 business days. Stock is batch-traced, so the bottle you receive carries a dated code.
Why does melon taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the starter kit units we ran, a coil past 7 days turned the melon blend itself harsh.
How long does melon in a starter kit last?
In San José we measured 5 to 13 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
