Melon RDA IQOS in San José: the price shortlist
Melon in San José: 20 units tested over 6 weeks, RDA formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
How to tell a good RDA from a repack
Most people searching IQOS in Costa Rica are not after a spec sheet. They want to know what it costs, how long it lasts and which shop will still service it in three months.
We run melon the same way in San José: same RDA, same 6 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
The short version: melon in San José works if the RDA, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a melon RDA really costs in San José
Melon RDA reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 20 units and 6 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
How we tested melon in a RDA
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the RDA that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Spare parts availability for RDA in Costa Rica, since tanks and pods go first.
- Batch code and production date, so a melon bottle turned in 6 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 4–9 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Costa Rica, not a suggestion.
Where melon goes wrong
- Chasing a discount on a RDA that then needs an adapter nobody in Costa Rica stocks.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Costa Rica accept nicotine freight.
- Treating the advertised ₡34 entry kit as the real cost when refills run ₡2.43 per 10 ml.
The rules that apply here
Packaging for melon in Costa Rica must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.
Costa Rica regulates nicotine imports under its health authority. Shipping of nicotine to Costa Rica runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.
