Mintice 30 ml shortfill IQOS in San José: the compare shortlist
Mintice in San José: 12 units tested over 6 weeks, 30 ml shortfill formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Stock, batch codes and the dispatch window
Mintice prices move with import duty more than with brand. In San José that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within ₡3.3 per 10 ml.
Mintice in San José reaches the shelf in 30 ml shortfill formats, and the compared ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
If you only read one line: the 30 ml shortfill you buy decides how long mintice tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.

How we tested mintice in a 30 ml shortfill
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every mintice bottle shipped into Costa Rica.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a 30 ml shortfill arrives sealed but wrong.
- Stock depth: 12 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Spare parts availability for 30 ml shortfill in Costa Rica, since tanks and pods go first.
Where mintice goes wrong
- Mixing mintice with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long mintice in San José survives.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Costa Rica accept nicotine freight.
The rules that apply here
