Melon disposable vape IQOS in San José: the online shortlist
Melon in San José: 16 units tested over 9 weeks, disposable vape formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
What melon costs in San José
Ordering into San José usually means waiting 4–9 business days. Plan the reorder around that, not around the flavour you like best.
Melon disposable vape reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 16 units and 9 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
The short version: melon in San José works if the disposable vape, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a melon disposable vape really costs in San José
Most people searching IQOS in Costa Rica are not after a spec sheet. They want to know what it costs, how long it lasts and which shop will still service it in three months.
How we tested melon in a disposable vape
- Pick the disposable vape that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a disposable vape arrives sealed but wrong.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Costa Rica, not a suggestion.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Spare parts availability for disposable vape in Costa Rica, since tanks and pods go first.
Where melon goes wrong
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Costa Rica accept nicotine freight.
- Treating the advertised ₡63 entry kit as the real cost when refills run ₡2.58 per 10 ml.
- Mixing melon with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in Costa Rica sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
Costa Rica regulates nicotine imports under its health authority. Shipping of nicotine to Costa Rica runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.

Frequently asked questions
Why does melon taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the disposable vape units we ran, a coil past 6 days turned the melon blend itself harsh.
How much does a disposable vape cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in San José: about ₡2.58 per 10 ml liquid plus ₡63 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
What nicotine strength should melon start at?
Start at whatever Costa Rica allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a disposable vape.
