Vanilla sub-ohm kit IQOS in San José: the compare shortlist
Vanilla in San José: 18 units tested over 4 weeks, sub-ohm kit formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Coil life, liquid cost and the vanilla habit
We run vanilla the same way in San José: same sub-ohm kit, same 4 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
If you are looking at vanilla in Costa Rica, the first question is not strength. It is whether the sub-ohm kit you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
The short version: vanilla in San José works if the sub-ohm kit, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a vanilla sub-ohm kit really costs in San José
Vanilla in a sub-ohm kit is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In San José the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
How we tested vanilla in a sub-ohm kit
- Pick the sub-ohm kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Coil type inside the sub-ohm kit, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Batch code and production date, so a vanilla bottle turned in 4 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a sub-ohm kit arrives sealed but wrong.
Where vanilla goes wrong
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long vanilla in San José survives.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why vanilla tastes flat after two days.
- Ignoring the batch date on a sub-ohm kit and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
The rules that apply here
Costa Rica regulates nicotine imports under its health authority. Shipping of nicotine to Costa Rica runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.
Packaging for vanilla in Costa Rica must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.
