Melon box mod IQOS in San José: the price shortlist
Melon in San José: 24 units tested over 5 weeks, box mod formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Ordering IQOS to San José: the practical version
Melon in a box mod is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In San José the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
We run melon the same way in San José: same box mod, same 5 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
If you only read one line: the box mod you buy decides how long melon tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a melon box mod really costs in San José
The honest read on melon: 24 units through the same routine over 5 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
How we tested melon in a box mod
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the box mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Stock depth: 24 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Coil type inside the box mod, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
Where melon goes wrong
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long melon in San José survives.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why melon tastes flat after two days.
- Chasing a discount on a box mod that then needs an adapter nobody in Costa Rica stocks.
