Lime refill pack IQOS in San José: the cheap shortlist
Lime in San José: 11 units tested over 3 weeks, refill pack formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
How to tell a good refill pack from a repack
If you are looking at lime in Costa Rica, the first question is not strength. It is whether the refill pack you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
Lime refill pack reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 11 units and 3 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
The short version: lime in San José works if the refill pack, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a lime refill pack really costs in San José
The honest read on lime: 11 units through the same routine over 3 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
How we tested lime in a refill pack
- Pick the refill pack that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 4–9 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a refill pack arrives sealed but wrong.
Where lime goes wrong
- Ignoring the batch date on a refill pack and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Costa Rica accept nicotine freight.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
The rules that apply here
Packaging for lime in Costa Rica must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.
Costa Rica regulates nicotine imports under its health authority. Shipping of nicotine to Costa Rica runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.

Frequently asked questions
What nicotine strength should lime start at?
Start at whatever Costa Rica allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a refill pack.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On lime the budget price and the premium price can sit within ₡2.29 per 10 ml once 4–9 business days is counted.
How long does lime in a refill pack last?
In San José we measured 3 to 11 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
