Lime box mod IQOS in San José: the budget shortlist
Lime in San José: 15 units tested over 7 weeks, box mod formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
How we tested Lime box mod here
If you are looking at lime in Costa Rica, the first question is not strength. It is whether the box mod you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
We run lime the same way in San José: same box mod, same 7 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
Below is the run we did for this search: 15 units, box mod, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a lime box mod really costs in San José
Ordering into San José usually means waiting 4–9 business days. Plan the reorder around that, not around the flavour you like best.
How we tested lime in a box mod
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Pick the box mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Spare parts availability for box mod in Costa Rica, since tanks and pods go first.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Coil type inside the box mod, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
Where lime goes wrong
- Buying the cheapest box mod available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Costa Rica accept nicotine freight.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why lime tastes flat after two days.

Frequently asked questions
Can I order IQOS online in Costa Rica?
Yes, tracked dispatch before 14:00, and delivery lands in 4–9 business days. Stock is batch-traced, so the bottle you receive carries a dated code.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On lime the budget price and the premium price can sit within ₡2.88 per 10 ml once 4–9 business days is counted.
Why does lime taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the box mod units we ran, a coil past 5 days turned the lime blend itself harsh.
