Frozen pod kit IQOS in San José: the order shortlist
Frozen in San José: 11 units tested over 5 weeks, pod kit formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Coil life, liquid cost and the frozen habit
Frozen in San José reaches the shelf in pod kit formats, and the pre-order ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
Ordering into San José usually means waiting 4–9 business days. Plan the reorder around that, not around the flavour you like best.
The short version: frozen in San José works if the pod kit, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a frozen pod kit really costs in San José
If you are looking at frozen in Costa Rica, the first question is not strength. It is whether the pod kit you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
How we tested frozen in a pod kit
- Pick the pod kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Spare parts availability for pod kit in Costa Rica, since tanks and pods go first.
- Batch code and production date, so a frozen bottle turned in 5 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Coil type inside the pod kit, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Stock depth: 11 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
Where frozen goes wrong
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Costa Rica accept nicotine freight.
- Ignoring the batch date on a pod kit and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Buying the cheapest pod kit available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
The rules that apply here
Costa Rica regulates nicotine imports under its health authority. Shipping of nicotine to Costa Rica runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.
Wholesale lines to Costa Rica need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.
