Lemon refill pack IQOS in San José: the price shortlist
Lemon in San José: 11 units tested over 3 weeks, refill pack formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Where buyers go wrong with lemon in Costa Rica
Lemon in a refill pack is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In San José the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
Lemon prices move with import duty more than with brand. In San José that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within ₡1.64 per 10 ml.
If you only read one line: the refill pack you buy decides how long lemon tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.

How we tested lemon in a refill pack
- Pick the refill pack that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Spare parts availability for refill pack in Costa Rica, since tanks and pods go first.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a refill pack arrives sealed but wrong.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every lemon bottle shipped into Costa Rica.
Where lemon goes wrong
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Buying the cheapest refill pack available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Ignoring the batch date on a refill pack and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
The rules that apply here

Frequently asked questions
How much does a refill pack cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in San José: about ₡1.64 per 10 ml liquid plus ₡32 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
What nicotine strength should lemon start at?
Start at whatever Costa Rica allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a refill pack.
Why does lemon taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the refill pack units we ran, a coil past 5 days turned the lemon blend itself harsh.
