Iced squonk mod IQOS in San José: the order shortlist
Iced in San José: 8 units tested over 8 weeks, squonk mod formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
What the label on Iced is allowed to say
The honest read on iced: 8 units through the same routine over 8 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
We run iced the same way in San José: same squonk mod, same 8 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
Below is the run we did for this search: 8 units, squonk mod, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a iced squonk mod really costs in San José
Iced prices move with import duty more than with brand. In San José that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within ₡3.35 per 10 ml.
How we tested iced in a squonk mod
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Pick the squonk mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Stock depth: 8 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every iced bottle shipped into Costa Rica.
- Spare parts availability for squonk mod in Costa Rica, since tanks and pods go first.
Where iced goes wrong
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Costa Rica accept nicotine freight.
- Treating the advertised ₡68 entry kit as the real cost when refills run ₡3.35 per 10 ml.
- Chasing a discount on a squonk mod that then needs an adapter nobody in Costa Rica stocks.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in Costa Rica sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
Costa Rica regulates nicotine imports under its health authority.
