A iced prefilled pod from the discounted options in Costa Rica costs about ₡2.6 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
The short version: iced in San José works if the prefilled pod, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.

A iced prefilled pod from the discounted options in Costa Rica costs about ₡2.6 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
How we tested iced in a prefilled pod
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a prefilled pod arrives sealed but wrong.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 4–9 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Spare parts availability for prefilled pod in Costa Rica, since tanks and pods go first.
Where iced goes wrong
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long iced in San José survives.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Chasing a discount on a prefilled pod that then needs an adapter nobody in Costa Rica stocks.

Frequently asked questions
Can I order IQOS online in Costa Rica?
Yes, tracked dispatch before 14:00, and delivery lands in 4–9 business days. Stock is batch-traced, so the bottle you receive carries a dated code.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On iced the budget price and the premium price can sit within ₡2.6 per 10 ml once 4–9 business days is counted.
Why does iced taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the prefilled pod units we ran, a coil past 5 days turned the iced blend itself harsh.
