Iced vape pen IQOS in San José: the budget shortlist
Iced in San José: 13 units tested over 4 weeks, vape pen formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
What the label on Iced is allowed to say
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in Costa Rica. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
The honest read on iced: 13 units through the same routine over 4 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
Below is the run we did for this search: 13 units, vape pen, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a iced vape pen really costs in San José
Ordering into San José usually means waiting 4–9 business days. Plan the reorder around that, not around the flavour you like best.
How we tested iced in a vape pen
- Pick the vape pen that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 4–9 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Coil type inside the vape pen, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Stock depth: 13 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
Where iced goes wrong
- Treating the advertised ₡49 entry kit as the real cost when refills run ₡3.14 per 10 ml.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why iced tastes flat after two days.
The rules that apply here
Wholesale lines to Costa Rica need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.
Retail sales in Costa Rica sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.

Frequently asked questions
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On iced the budget price and the premium price can sit within ₡3.14 per 10 ml once 4–9 business days is counted.
Why does iced taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the vape pen units we ran, a coil past 5 days turned the iced blend itself harsh.
Do you ship tracked orders to Costa Rica?
Yes, tracked to 4–9 business days, with the same-day cut-off at 14:00. Bulk orders get an import note attached before dispatch.
