Iced nicotine salt bottle IQOS in San José: the guide shortlist
Iced in San José: 12 units tested over 6 weeks, nicotine salt bottle formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Stock, batch codes and the dispatch window
Iced sounds like one product. It is not: a nicotine salt bottle running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
If you are looking at iced in Costa Rica, the first question is not strength. It is whether the nicotine salt bottle you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
The short version: iced in San José works if the nicotine salt bottle, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a iced nicotine salt bottle really costs in San José
The honest read on iced: 12 units through the same routine over 6 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
How we tested iced in a nicotine salt bottle
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Batch code and production date, so a iced bottle turned in 6 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a nicotine salt bottle arrives sealed but wrong.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
Where iced goes wrong
- Chasing a discount on a nicotine salt bottle that then needs an adapter nobody in Costa Rica stocks.
- Ignoring the batch date on a nicotine salt bottle and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Costa Rica accept nicotine freight.

Frequently asked questions
Why does iced taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the nicotine salt bottle units we ran, a coil past 6 days turned the iced blend itself harsh.
What nicotine strength should iced start at?
Start at whatever Costa Rica allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a nicotine salt bottle.
Can I order IQOS online in Costa Rica?
Yes, tracked dispatch before 14:00, and delivery lands in 4–9 business days. Stock is batch-traced, so the bottle you receive carries a dated code.
