Salted e-liquid bundle IQOS in San José: the order shortlist
Salted in San José: 23 units tested over 2 weeks, e-liquid bundle formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Coil life, liquid cost and the salted habit
Salted e-liquid bundle reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 23 units and 2 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
Most people searching IQOS in Costa Rica are not after a spec sheet. They want to know what it costs, how long it lasts and which shop will still service it in three months.
The short version: salted in San José works if the e-liquid bundle, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a salted e-liquid bundle really costs in San José
We run salted the same way in San José: same e-liquid bundle, same 2 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
How we tested salted in a e-liquid bundle
- Pick the e-liquid bundle that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every salted bottle shipped into Costa Rica.
- Coil type inside the e-liquid bundle, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a e-liquid bundle arrives sealed but wrong.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
Where salted goes wrong
- Ignoring the batch date on a e-liquid bundle and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long salted in San José survives.
- Buying the cheapest e-liquid bundle available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
The rules that apply here
Costa Rica regulates nicotine imports under its health authority.
Retail sales in Costa Rica sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.

Frequently asked questions
What nicotine strength should salted start at?
Start at whatever Costa Rica allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a e-liquid bundle.
Why does salted taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the e-liquid bundle units we ran, a coil past 4 days turned the salted blend itself harsh.
How long does salted in a e-liquid bundle last?
In San José we measured 2 to 23 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
