Iced nicotine salt bottle IQOS in San José: the cheap shortlist
Iced in San José: 13 units tested over 3 weeks, nicotine salt bottle formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Where buyers go wrong with iced in Costa Rica
We run iced the same way in San José: same nicotine salt bottle, same 3 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
A iced nicotine salt bottle from the cheapest options in Costa Rica costs about ₡2.78 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
If you only read one line: the nicotine salt bottle you buy decides how long iced tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.

How we tested iced in a nicotine salt bottle
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Pick the nicotine salt bottle that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Coil type inside the nicotine salt bottle, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Costa Rica, not a suggestion.
Where iced goes wrong
- Buying the cheapest nicotine salt bottle available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Chasing a discount on a nicotine salt bottle that then needs an adapter nobody in Costa Rica stocks.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Costa Rica accept nicotine freight.
