Licorice e-liquid bundle IQOS in San José: the cheap shortlist
Licorice in San José: 22 units tested over 4 weeks, e-liquid bundle formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
What the label on Licorice is allowed to say
Licorice e-liquid bundle reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 22 units and 4 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
We run licorice the same way in San José: same e-liquid bundle, same 4 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
The short version: licorice in San José works if the e-liquid bundle, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a licorice e-liquid bundle really costs in San José
Licorice prices move with import duty more than with brand. In San José that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within ₡2.34 per 10 ml.
How we tested licorice in a e-liquid bundle
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the e-liquid bundle that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Spare parts availability for e-liquid bundle in Costa Rica, since tanks and pods go first.
- Coil type inside the e-liquid bundle, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 4–9 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Costa Rica, not a suggestion.
Where licorice goes wrong
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Costa Rica accept nicotine freight.
- Buying the cheapest e-liquid bundle available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long licorice in San José survives.
The rules that apply here
Costa Rica regulates nicotine imports under its health authority.
Retail sales in Costa Rica sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.

Frequently asked questions
What nicotine strength should licorice start at?
Start at whatever Costa Rica allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a e-liquid bundle.
Is licorice legal to sell in Costa Rica?
Costa Rica regulates nicotine imports under its health authority.
Why does licorice taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the e-liquid bundle units we ran, a coil past 7 days turned the licorice blend itself harsh.
