What a iced 10 ml bottle really costs in San José
Iced prices move with import duty more than with brand. In San José that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within ₡2.38 per 10 ml.
How we tested iced in a 10 ml bottle
- Pick the 10 ml bottle that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every iced bottle shipped into Costa Rica.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a 10 ml bottle arrives sealed but wrong.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Coil type inside the 10 ml bottle, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
Where iced goes wrong
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Treating the advertised ₡66 entry kit as the real cost when refills run ₡2.38 per 10 ml.
- Chasing a discount on a 10 ml bottle that then needs an adapter nobody in Costa Rica stocks.
