Honey refill pack IQOS in San José: the deals shortlist
Honey in San José: 16 units tested over 9 weeks, refill pack formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
How we tested Honey refill pack here
Honey refill pack reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 16 units and 9 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
Most people searching IQOS in Costa Rica are not after a spec sheet. They want to know what it costs, how long it lasts and which shop will still service it in three months.
If you only read one line: the refill pack you buy decides how long honey tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a honey refill pack really costs in San José
Honey prices move with import duty more than with brand. In San José that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within ₡2.02 per 10 ml.
How we tested honey in a refill pack
- Pick the refill pack that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a refill pack arrives sealed but wrong.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Costa Rica, not a suggestion.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 4–9 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
Where honey goes wrong
- Treating the advertised ₡43 entry kit as the real cost when refills run ₡2.02 per 10 ml.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Chasing a discount on a refill pack that then needs an adapter nobody in Costa Rica stocks.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in Costa Rica sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.

Frequently asked questions
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On honey the budget price and the premium price can sit within ₡2.02 per 10 ml once 4–9 business days is counted.
Why does honey taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the refill pack units we ran, a coil past 4 days turned the honey blend itself harsh.
How long does honey in a refill pack last?
In San José we measured 9 to 16 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
