Herbal vape pen IQOS in San José: the compare shortlist
Herbal in San José: 15 units tested over 2 weeks, vape pen formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
What herbal costs in San José
Herbal vape pen reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 15 units and 2 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
The honest read on herbal: 15 units through the same routine over 2 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
If you only read one line: the vape pen you buy decides how long herbal tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a herbal vape pen really costs in San José
Herbal in San José reaches the shelf in vape pen formats, and the compared ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
How we tested herbal in a vape pen
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Pick the vape pen that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Batch code and production date, so a herbal bottle turned in 2 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Stock depth: 15 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
Where herbal goes wrong
- Buying the cheapest vape pen available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Ignoring the batch date on a vape pen and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
The rules that apply here
Costa Rica regulates nicotine imports under its health authority.
Wholesale lines to Costa Rica need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.

Frequently asked questions
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On herbal the budget price and the premium price can sit within ₡2.63 per 10 ml once 4–9 business days is counted.
What nicotine strength should herbal start at?
Start at whatever Costa Rica allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a vape pen.
How long does herbal in a vape pen last?
In San José we measured 2 to 15 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
