Herbal starter kit IQOS in San José: the wholesale shortlist
Herbal in San José: 14 units tested over 7 weeks, starter kit formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Coil life, liquid cost and the herbal habit
Most people searching IQOS in Costa Rica are not after a spec sheet. They want to know what it costs, how long it lasts and which shop will still service it in three months.
If you are looking at herbal in Costa Rica, the first question is not strength. It is whether the starter kit you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
If you only read one line: the starter kit you buy decides how long herbal tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a herbal starter kit really costs in San José
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in Costa Rica. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
How we tested herbal in a starter kit
- Pick the starter kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every herbal bottle shipped into Costa Rica.
- Coil type inside the starter kit, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Spare parts availability for starter kit in Costa Rica, since tanks and pods go first.
- Stock depth: 14 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
Where herbal goes wrong
- Buying the cheapest starter kit available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Treating the advertised ₡43 entry kit as the real cost when refills run ₡2.65 per 10 ml.
- Mixing herbal with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
