Guava starter kit IQOS in San José: the cheap shortlist
Guava in San José: 12 units tested over 8 weeks, starter kit formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Coil life, liquid cost and the guava habit
Most people searching IQOS in Costa Rica are not after a spec sheet. They want to know what it costs, how long it lasts and which shop will still service it in three months.
Guava in San José reaches the shelf in starter kit formats, and the cheapest ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
If you only read one line: the starter kit you buy decides how long guava tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a guava starter kit really costs in San José
If you are looking at guava in Costa Rica, the first question is not strength. It is whether the starter kit you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
How we tested guava in a starter kit
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Pick the starter kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every guava bottle shipped into Costa Rica.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 4–9 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a starter kit arrives sealed but wrong.
Where guava goes wrong
- Ignoring the batch date on a starter kit and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Chasing a discount on a starter kit that then needs an adapter nobody in Costa Rica stocks.
- Mixing guava with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
