Iced zero-nicotine bottle IQOS in San José: the review shortlist — Iqoscostarica
Iced in San José: 19 units tested over 6 weeks, zero-nicotine bottle formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Coil life, liquid cost and the iced habit
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in Costa Rica. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
Iced in a zero-nicotine bottle is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In San José the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
If you only read one line: the zero-nicotine bottle you buy decides how long iced tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a iced zero-nicotine bottle really costs in San José
The honest read on iced: 19 units through the same routine over 6 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
How we tested iced in a zero-nicotine bottle
- Pick the zero-nicotine bottle that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Batch code and production date, so a iced bottle turned in 6 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 4–9 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Costa Rica, not a suggestion.
- Stock depth: 19 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
Where iced goes wrong
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Ignoring the batch date on a zero-nicotine bottle and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long iced in San José survives.
The rules that apply here
Costa Rica regulates nicotine imports under its health authority. Shipping of nicotine to Costa Rica runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.
Wholesale lines to Costa Rica need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.
