Graphite prefilled pod IQOS in San José: the deals shortlist
Graphite in San José: 23 units tested over 4 weeks, prefilled pod formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
How we tested Graphite prefilled pod here
Most people searching IQOS in Costa Rica are not after a spec sheet. They want to know what it costs, how long it lasts and which shop will still service it in three months.
Ordering into San José usually means waiting 4–9 business days. Plan the reorder around that, not around the flavour you like best.
If you only read one line: the prefilled pod you buy decides how long graphite tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a graphite prefilled pod really costs in San José
A graphite prefilled pod from the discounted options in Costa Rica costs about ₡2.35 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
How we tested graphite in a prefilled pod
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Pick the prefilled pod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Stock depth: 23 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Costa Rica, not a suggestion.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Batch code and production date, so a graphite bottle turned in 4 weeks ago is not sold as new.
Where graphite goes wrong
- Treating the advertised ₡37 entry kit as the real cost when refills run ₡2.35 per 10 ml.
- Mixing graphite with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Buying the cheapest prefilled pod available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
The rules that apply here
Costa Rica regulates nicotine imports under its health authority.
Wholesale lines to Costa Rica need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a prefilled pod cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in San José: about ₡2.35 per 10 ml liquid plus ₡37 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
Why does graphite taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the prefilled pod units we ran, a coil past 5 days turned the graphite blend itself harsh.
What nicotine strength should graphite start at?
Start at whatever Costa Rica allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a prefilled pod.
