Graphite pen device IQOS in San José: the order shortlist
Graphite in San José: 12 units tested over 6 weeks, pen device formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
What the label on Graphite is allowed to say
Ordering into San José usually means waiting 4–9 business days. Plan the reorder around that, not around the flavour you like best.
Graphite prices move with import duty more than with brand. In San José that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within ₡3.01 per 10 ml.
Below is the run we did for this search: 12 units, pen device, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a graphite pen device really costs in San José
The honest read on graphite: 12 units through the same routine over 6 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
How we tested graphite in a pen device
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the pen device that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Spare parts availability for pen device in Costa Rica, since tanks and pods go first.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a pen device arrives sealed but wrong.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Costa Rica, not a suggestion.
- Stock depth: 12 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
Where graphite goes wrong
- Chasing a discount on a pen device that then needs an adapter nobody in Costa Rica stocks.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why graphite tastes flat after two days.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in Costa Rica sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
Costa Rica regulates nicotine imports under its health authority.
