Graphite 60 ml bottle IQOS in San José: the compare shortlist
Graphite in San José: 7 units tested over 4 weeks, 60 ml bottle formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Ordering IQOS to San José: the practical version
If you are looking at graphite in Costa Rica, the first question is not strength. It is whether the 60 ml bottle you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
Graphite in a 60 ml bottle is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In San José the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
Below is the run we did for this search: 7 units, 60 ml bottle, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a graphite 60 ml bottle really costs in San José
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in Costa Rica. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
How we tested graphite in a 60 ml bottle
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the 60 ml bottle that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Batch code and production date, so a graphite bottle turned in 4 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Stock depth: 7 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a 60 ml bottle arrives sealed but wrong.
Where graphite goes wrong
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why graphite tastes flat after two days.
- Mixing graphite with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.

Frequently asked questions
Why does graphite taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the 60 ml bottle units we ran, a coil past 6 days turned the graphite blend itself harsh.
How much does a 60 ml bottle cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in San José: about ₡2.72 per 10 ml liquid plus ₡51 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On graphite the budget price and the premium price can sit within ₡2.72 per 10 ml once 4–9 business days is counted.
