Grapey RDA IQOS in San José: the guide shortlist
Grapey in San José: 19 units tested over 4 weeks, RDA formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Coil life, liquid cost and the grapey habit
Grapey RDA reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 19 units and 4 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
Grapey in a RDA is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In San José the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
The short version: grapey in San José works if the RDA, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a grapey RDA really costs in San José
Grapey RDA reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 19 units and 4 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
How we tested grapey in a RDA
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Pick the RDA that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every grapey bottle shipped into Costa Rica.
- Spare parts availability for RDA in Costa Rica, since tanks and pods go first.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 4–9 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
Where grapey goes wrong
- Ignoring the batch date on a RDA and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why grapey tastes flat after two days.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Costa Rica accept nicotine freight.
The rules that apply here
Wholesale lines to Costa Rica need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.

Frequently asked questions
Why does grapey taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the RDA units we ran, a coil past 4 days turned the grapey blend itself harsh.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On grapey the budget price and the premium price can sit within ₡2.78 per 10 ml once 4–9 business days is counted.
How long does grapey in a RDA last?
In San José we measured 4 to 19 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
