Nutty prefilled pod IQOS in San José: the guide shortlist
Nutty in San José: 11 units tested over 6 weeks, prefilled pod formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Coil life, liquid cost and the nutty habit
Nutty sounds like one product. It is not: a prefilled pod running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
We run nutty the same way in San José: same prefilled pod, same 6 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
The short version: nutty in San José works if the prefilled pod, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a nutty prefilled pod really costs in San José
Nutty prefilled pod reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 11 units and 6 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
How we tested nutty in a prefilled pod
- Pick the prefilled pod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Costa Rica, not a suggestion.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a prefilled pod arrives sealed but wrong.
- Spare parts availability for prefilled pod in Costa Rica, since tanks and pods go first.
Where nutty goes wrong
- Buying the cheapest prefilled pod available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Chasing a discount on a prefilled pod that then needs an adapter nobody in Costa Rica stocks.
The rules that apply here
Wholesale lines to Costa Rica need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.
Costa Rica regulates nicotine imports under its health authority.

How much does a prefilled pod cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in San José: about ₡2.64 per 10 ml liquid plus ₡51 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On nutty the budget price and the premium price can sit within ₡2.64 per 10 ml once 4–9 business days is counted.
What nicotine strength should nutty start at?
Start at whatever Costa Rica allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a prefilled pod.
