Grapey prefilled pod IQOS in San José: the flat shortlist
Grapey in San José: 15 units tested over 8 weeks, prefilled pod formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
How we tested Grapey prefilled pod here
We run grapey the same way in San José: same prefilled pod, same 8 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in Costa Rica. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
The short version: grapey in San José works if the prefilled pod, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a grapey prefilled pod really costs in San José
Grapey prefilled pod reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 15 units and 8 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
How we tested grapey in a prefilled pod
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Pick the prefilled pod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Coil type inside the prefilled pod, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Spare parts availability for prefilled pod in Costa Rica, since tanks and pods go first.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 4–9 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a prefilled pod arrives sealed but wrong.
Where grapey goes wrong
- Mixing grapey with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long grapey in San José survives.
- Treating the advertised ₡39 entry kit as the real cost when refills run ₡1.74 per 10 ml.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in Costa Rica sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
Wholesale lines to Costa Rica need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.

| Entry kit | ₡39 | What a first order really pays |

Frequently asked questions
How much does a prefilled pod cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in San José: about ₡1.74 per 10 ml liquid plus ₡39 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
How long does grapey in a prefilled pod last?
In San José we measured 8 to 15 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
Why does grapey taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the prefilled pod units we ran, a coil past 6 days turned the grapey blend itself harsh.
