Grapey mesh tank IQOS in San José: the budget shortlist
Grapey in San José: 21 units tested over 5 weeks, mesh tank formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
How we tested Grapey mesh tank here
Grapey in a mesh tank is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In San José the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
We run grapey the same way in San José: same mesh tank, same 5 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
The short version: grapey in San José works if the mesh tank, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a grapey mesh tank really costs in San José
Grapey in a mesh tank is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In San José the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
How we tested grapey in a mesh tank
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Pick the mesh tank that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Stock depth: 21 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Spare parts availability for mesh tank in Costa Rica, since tanks and pods go first.
- Batch code and production date, so a grapey bottle turned in 5 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a mesh tank arrives sealed but wrong.
Where grapey goes wrong
- Treating the advertised ₡40 entry kit as the real cost when refills run ₡2.24 per 10 ml.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Mixing grapey with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.

In San José we measured 5 to 21 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.

Yes, tracked to 4–9 business days, with the same-day cut-off at 14:00. Bulk orders get an import note attached before dispatch.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On grapey the budget price and the premium price can sit within ₡2.24 per 10 ml once 4–9 business days is counted.
