Grapey cartomizer IQOS in San José: the review shortlist
Grapey in San José: 12 units tested over 7 weeks, cartomizer formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
What grapey costs in San José
Grapey cartomizer reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 12 units and 7 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
Grapey in San José reaches the shelf in cartomizer formats, and the reviewed ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
If you only read one line: the cartomizer you buy decides how long grapey tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a grapey cartomizer really costs in San José
Most people searching IQOS in Costa Rica are not after a spec sheet. They want to know what it costs, how long it lasts and which shop will still service it in three months.
How we tested grapey in a cartomizer
- Pick the cartomizer that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Batch code and production date, so a grapey bottle turned in 7 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Spare parts availability for cartomizer in Costa Rica, since tanks and pods go first.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
Where grapey goes wrong
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why grapey tastes flat after two days.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Costa Rica accept nicotine freight.
- Ignoring the batch date on a cartomizer and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
The rules that apply here
Wholesale lines to Costa Rica need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.
Costa Rica regulates nicotine imports under its health authority. Shipping of nicotine to Costa Rica runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.

Frequently asked questions
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On grapey the budget price and the premium price can sit within ₡1.91 per 10 ml once 4–9 business days is counted.
How long does grapey in a cartomizer last?
In San José we measured 7 to 12 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
What nicotine strength should grapey start at?
Start at whatever Costa Rica allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a cartomizer.
