Frozen RDA IQOS in San José: the online shortlist
Frozen in San José: 7 units tested over 6 weeks, RDA formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Choosing a RDA for frozen
We run frozen the same way in San José: same RDA, same 6 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
The honest read on frozen: 7 units through the same routine over 6 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
If you only read one line: the RDA you buy decides how long frozen tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a frozen RDA really costs in San José
We run frozen the same way in San José: same RDA, same 6 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
How we tested frozen in a RDA
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the RDA that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a RDA arrives sealed but wrong.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Batch code and production date, so a frozen bottle turned in 6 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
Where frozen goes wrong
- Treating the advertised ₡54 entry kit as the real cost when refills run ₡3.49 per 10 ml.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Costa Rica accept nicotine freight.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in Costa Rica sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.

Frequently asked questions
Do you ship tracked orders to Costa Rica?
Yes, tracked to 4–9 business days, with the same-day cut-off at 14:00. Bulk orders get an import note attached before dispatch.
How long does frozen in a RDA last?
In San José we measured 6 to 7 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On frozen the budget price and the premium price can sit within ₡3.49 per 10 ml once 4–9 business days is counted.
