Frozen pod kit IQOS in San José: the deals shortlist
Frozen in San José: 14 units tested over 8 weeks, pod kit formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Delivery, returns and what 4–9 business days really means
The honest read on frozen: 14 units through the same routine over 8 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
Frozen sounds like one product. It is not: a pod kit running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
Below is the run we did for this search: 14 units, pod kit, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a frozen pod kit really costs in San José
Frozen prices move with import duty more than with brand. In San José that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within ₡2.74 per 10 ml.
How we tested frozen in a pod kit
- Pick the pod kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a pod kit arrives sealed but wrong.
- Batch code and production date, so a frozen bottle turned in 8 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Stock depth: 14 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
Where frozen goes wrong
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long frozen in San José survives.
- Treating the advertised ₡67 entry kit as the real cost when refills run ₡2.74 per 10 ml.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
