Frozen pen device IQOS in San José: the deals shortlist
Frozen in San José: 11 units tested over 5 weeks, pen device formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
What the label on Frozen is allowed to say
Frozen prices move with import duty more than with brand. In San José that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within ₡2.56 per 10 ml.
Ordering into San José usually means waiting 4–9 business days. Plan the reorder around that, not around the flavour you like best.
Below is the run we did for this search: 11 units, pen device, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a frozen pen device really costs in San José
Frozen pen device reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 11 units and 5 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
How we tested frozen in a pen device
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Costa Rica, not a suggestion.
- Stock depth: 11 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Batch code and production date, so a frozen bottle turned in 5 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every frozen bottle shipped into Costa Rica.
Where frozen goes wrong
- Chasing a discount on a pen device that then needs an adapter nobody in Costa Rica stocks.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Costa Rica accept nicotine freight.
- Ignoring the batch date on a pen device and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
The rules that apply here
