Frozen cartomizer IQOS in San José: the guide shortlist
Frozen in San José: 17 units tested over 5 weeks, cartomizer formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Choosing a cartomizer for frozen
Frozen prices move with import duty more than with brand. In San José that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within ₡2.79 per 10 ml.
Ordering into San José usually means waiting 4–9 business days. Plan the reorder around that, not around the flavour you like best.
Below is the run we did for this search: 17 units, cartomizer, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a frozen cartomizer really costs in San José
Frozen cartomizer reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 17 units and 5 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
How we tested frozen in a cartomizer
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Costa Rica, not a suggestion.
- Coil type inside the cartomizer, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 4–9 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a cartomizer arrives sealed but wrong.
Where frozen goes wrong
- Treating the advertised ₡42 entry kit as the real cost when refills run ₡2.79 per 10 ml.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Costa Rica accept nicotine freight.
- Mixing frozen with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
