Home / Frozen box mod IQOS in San José: the best shortlist

Coil life, liquid cost and the frozen habit

Frozen in San José reaches the shelf in box mod formats, and the best ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.

Ordering into San José usually means waiting 4–9 business days. Plan the reorder around that, not around the flavour you like best.

If you only read one line: the box mod you buy decides how long frozen tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.

What a frozen box mod really costs in San José

Frozen prices move with import duty more than with brand. In San José that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within ₡1.69 per 10 ml.

How we tested frozen in a box mod

1. Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
2. Pick the box mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
3. Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.

• The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Costa Rica, not a suggestion.
• Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
• Returns window and who pays return postage when a box mod arrives sealed but wrong.
• Coil type inside the box mod, because mesh and wire age at different rates.

Where frozen goes wrong

• Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Costa Rica accept nicotine freight.
• Mixing frozen with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
• Treating the advertised ₡40 entry kit as the real cost when refills run ₡1.69 per 10 ml.
