Frozen 30 ml shortfill IQOS in San José: the online shortlist
Frozen in San José: 22 units tested over 3 weeks, 30 ml shortfill formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
What the label on Frozen is allowed to say
Frozen prices move with import duty more than with brand. In San José that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within ₡2.83 per 10 ml.
Frozen in a 30 ml shortfill is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In San José the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
If you only read one line: the 30 ml shortfill you buy decides how long frozen tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a frozen 30 ml shortfill really costs in San José
The honest read on frozen: 22 units through the same routine over 3 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
How we tested frozen in a 30 ml shortfill
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Spare parts availability for 30 ml shortfill in Costa Rica, since tanks and pods go first.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every frozen bottle shipped into Costa Rica.
- Stock depth: 22 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Coil type inside the 30 ml shortfill, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
Where frozen goes wrong
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long frozen in San José survives.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Costa Rica accept nicotine freight.
The rules that apply here

Wholesale lines to Costa Rica need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.
