Frozen 30 ml shortfill IQOS in San José: the compare shortlist
Frozen in San José: 10 units tested over 3 weeks, 30 ml shortfill formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
What frozen costs in San José
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in Costa Rica. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
Frozen sounds like one product. It is not: a 30 ml shortfill running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
If you only read one line: the 30 ml shortfill you buy decides how long frozen tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a frozen 30 ml shortfill really costs in San José
If you are looking at frozen in Costa Rica, the first question is not strength. It is whether the 30 ml shortfill you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
How we tested frozen in a 30 ml shortfill
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every frozen bottle shipped into Costa Rica.
- Stock depth: 10 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Costa Rica, not a suggestion.
- Batch code and production date, so a frozen bottle turned in 3 weeks ago is not sold as new.
Where frozen goes wrong
- Ignoring the batch date on a 30 ml shortfill and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Treating the advertised ₡43 entry kit as the real cost when refills run ₡2.86 per 10 ml.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why frozen tastes flat after two days.
The rules that apply here
Costa Rica regulates nicotine imports under its health authority.
Retail sales in Costa Rica sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.

How long does frozen in a 30 ml shortfill last?
In San José we measured 3 to 10 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.

Yes, tracked to 4–9 business days, with the same-day cut-off at 14:00. Bulk orders get an import note attached before dispatch.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On frozen the budget price and the premium price can sit within ₡2.86 per 10 ml once 4–9 business days is counted.
