Fig prefilled pod IQOS in San José: the cheap shortlist
Fig in San José: 9 units tested over 6 weeks, prefilled pod formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
How to tell a good prefilled pod from a repack
The honest read on fig: 9 units through the same routine over 6 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
Fig sounds like one product. It is not: a prefilled pod running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
Below is the run we did for this search: 9 units, prefilled pod, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a fig prefilled pod really costs in San José
Fig prices move with import duty more than with brand. In San José that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within ₡2.22 per 10 ml.
How we tested fig in a prefilled pod
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the prefilled pod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Stock depth: 9 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every fig bottle shipped into Costa Rica.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Costa Rica, not a suggestion.
Where fig goes wrong
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Costa Rica accept nicotine freight.
- Buying the cheapest prefilled pod available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Chasing a discount on a prefilled pod that then needs an adapter nobody in Costa Rica stocks.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in Costa Rica sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
Costa Rica regulates nicotine imports under its health authority.
