Spiced cartomizer IQOS in San José: the best shortlist
Spiced in San José: 23 units tested over 6 weeks, cartomizer formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
How to tell a good cartomizer from a repack
The honest read on spiced: 23 units through the same routine over 6 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
A spiced cartomizer from the best options in Costa Rica costs about ₡2.66 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
Below is the run we did for this search: 23 units, cartomizer, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a spiced cartomizer really costs in San José
Spiced sounds like one product. It is not: a cartomizer running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
How we tested spiced in a cartomizer
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Costa Rica, not a suggestion.
- Coil type inside the cartomizer, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 4–9 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
Where spiced goes wrong
- Mixing spiced with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Treating the advertised ₡38 entry kit as the real cost when refills run ₡2.66 per 10 ml.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
