Fig box mod IQOS in San José: the flat shortlist
Fig in San José: 24 units tested over 2 weeks, box mod formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Where buyers go wrong with fig in Costa Rica
If you are looking at fig in Costa Rica, the first question is not strength. It is whether the box mod you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
Fig sounds like one product. It is not: a box mod running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
If you only read one line: the box mod you buy decides how long fig tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a fig box mod really costs in San José
Fig in a box mod is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In San José the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
How we tested fig in a box mod
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Pick the box mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 4–9 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every fig bottle shipped into Costa Rica.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Spare parts availability for box mod in Costa Rica, since tanks and pods go first.
Where fig goes wrong
- Chasing a discount on a box mod that then needs an adapter nobody in Costa Rica stocks.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why fig tastes flat after two days.
- Buying the cheapest box mod available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in Costa Rica sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
Wholesale lines to Costa Rica need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.

Frequently asked questions
How long does fig in a box mod last?
In San José we measured 2 to 24 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
Is fig legal to sell in Costa Rica?
Costa Rica regulates nicotine imports under its health authority.
What nicotine strength should fig start at?
Start at whatever Costa Rica allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a box mod.
