Home / Dessert refill pack IQOS in San José: the price shortlist

Coil life, liquid cost and the dessert habit

There is no single best way to buy IQOS in Costa Rica. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.

A dessert refill pack from the value options in Costa Rica costs about ₡3.58 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.

The short version: dessert in San José works if the refill pack, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.

What a dessert refill pack really costs in San José

Dessert in a refill pack is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In San José the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.

How we tested dessert in a refill pack

1. Pick the refill pack that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
2. Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
3. Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.

• The landed price per 10 ml after 4–9 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
• A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
• Coil type inside the refill pack, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
• Spare parts availability for refill pack in Costa Rica, since tanks and pods go first.

Where dessert goes wrong

• Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why dessert tastes flat after two days.
• Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long dessert in San José survives.
• Treating the advertised ₡47 entry kit as the real cost when refills run ₡3.58 per 10 ml.

The rules that apply here

Costa Rica regulates nicotine imports under its health authority. Shipping of nicotine to Costa Rica runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.

Retail sales in Costa Rica sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
