Cream starter kit IQOS in San José: the flat shortlist
Cream in San José: 21 units tested over 9 weeks, starter kit formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Delivery, returns and what 4–9 business days really means
Cream sounds like one product. It is not: a starter kit running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
Cream starter kit reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 21 units and 9 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
If you only read one line: the starter kit you buy decides how long cream tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a cream starter kit really costs in San José
Cream sounds like one product. It is not: a starter kit running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
How we tested cream in a starter kit
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Coil type inside the starter kit, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Stock depth: 21 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
Where cream goes wrong
- Chasing a discount on a starter kit that then needs an adapter nobody in Costa Rica stocks.
- Mixing cream with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long cream in San José survives.

Frequently asked questions
Why does cream taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the starter kit units we ran, a coil past 6 days turned the cream blend itself harsh.
What nicotine strength should cream start at?
Start at whatever Costa Rica allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a starter kit.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On cream the budget price and the premium price can sit within ₡3.29 per 10 ml once 4–9 business days is counted.
