Melon RDA IQOS in San José: the guide shortlist
Melon in San José: 7 units tested over 7 weeks, RDA formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Ordering IQOS to San José: the practical version
If you are looking at melon in Costa Rica, the first question is not strength. It is whether the RDA you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
Melon sounds like one product. It is not: a RDA running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
Below is the run we did for this search: 7 units, RDA, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a melon RDA really costs in San José

How we tested melon in a RDA
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every melon bottle shipped into Costa Rica.
- Coil type inside the RDA, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Batch code and production date, so a melon bottle turned in 7 weeks ago is not sold as new.
Where melon goes wrong
- Treating the advertised ₡55 entry kit as the real cost when refills run ₡2.15 per 10 ml.
- Ignoring the batch date on a RDA and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
The rules that apply here
