What cola costs in San José
Cola prices move with import duty more than with brand. In San José that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within ₡3.15 per 10 ml.
We run cola the same way in San José: same box mod, same 2 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
Below is the run we did for this search: 7 units, box mod, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a cola box mod really costs in San José
Cola in San José reaches the shelf in box mod formats, and the bulk ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
How we tested cola in a box mod
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the box mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every cola bottle shipped into Costa Rica.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Costa Rica, not a suggestion.
- Spare parts availability for box mod in Costa Rica, since tanks and pods go first.
- Batch code and production date, so a cola bottle turned in 2 weeks ago is not sold as new.
Where cola goes wrong
- Chasing a discount on a box mod that then needs an adapter nobody in Costa Rica stocks.
- Buying the cheapest box mod available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why cola tastes flat after two days.
The rules that apply here
